let me start from the end of my night

while ryan and i are still patching things up, he’s still convinced that i cheated and that i haven’t entirely spilled my guts

this of course makes me feel like crap, i don’t blame him for taking time to try and trust me again but at the same time i feel like i’m under attack

i honestly don’t know how much more of this offense i can take, i don’t want to lose him but at the same time i’m tired of being attacked by him on a regular basis

i’m contemplating whether i still want to be with ryan or not. this torture cannot continue, i didn’t do anything, i didn’t fucking cheat, i’ve severed my ties with friends/acquaintances, i try to repulse myself with finding other boys attractive, i’ve cried countless numbers of tears for him, my immune system has suffered a great amount as well as my health from all this stress, my face has actually broken out in tiny amounts which NEVER happens, i’m stressed, i’m confused, i’m hurt, i don’t know what the fuck to do, i’m afraid to say certain things around him. i feel like i’m not being myself anymore. i do not like myself right now.

i’ve put so much hard work into trying to repair my relationship and i continue to suffer and struggle. i’ve been shooting arrows through my own chest, degrading myself, i’m still fighting, broken and bruised, i’m fighting relentlessly… but for how long? how much more can i take?

i might not know until my heart ceases to beat and my lungs collapse for screaming

if he makes you feel like shit, then leave him, only if it makes you feel better though. No boy is worth your tears <3

At its core twilight is three things:

I. A romance series

II. A teenage novel

III. A vampire novel

In my speech I will break down why Twilight fails and is a poor book in these three core aspects.

I. Romance

A. The relationship has no substance

1. Bella obsesses over Edwards’s physical appearance rather than other redeeming qualities (or rather lack thereof)

2. Bella claims to love Edward eternally far too early in the relationship to be true

3. Edward is immediately drawn to Bella because of his inability to read her mind and his bloodlust for her rather than her internal qualities

B. The relationship is unhealthy

1. Edward consistently abuses Bella by being hot and cold and leaving her without explanation or telling her he wants nothing to do with her.

2. Edward Stalks Bella and watches her sleep every night. This behavior would be considered creepy if it was acted out by anyone who was not attractive

3. Bella is extremely codependent and claims to not be able to live without Edward. To the point of endangering herself

4. Edward physically hurts Bella but she is alright with it because she loves him.

C. the romance is obsession based

1. Constant fawning over Edwards’s looks and perfection

2. Constant stalkerish/ overprotective behavior on Edwards’s part

D. the relationship is just plain wrong

1. Edward is over 100 and Bella is a teenager. Gross.

II. Teen Novel

A. Twilight sets a bad example

1. Bella constantly depends on Edward to be happy and is a shell of a person without him

2. Bella toys with the emotions of Jacob by leading him on

3. Edward creates an example of a “perfect” man

a. perfection is solely based on appearance and obsession.

b. It also portrays that stalking and being overly possessive is a good trait in a mate

c. If a guy loves you he will ignore you and tell you he doesn’t love you, never give up!

4. Bella has a poor self image and is unstable and weak emotionally

B. Twilight is poorly written

1. Bella speaks in college level words to create a sense of good writing even though she is an “ordinary” teen (having a thesaurus doesn’t make you a good writer)

2.  Meyer writes with heavy use of cliché

3. Even Steven King believes so

4. It has no moral lessons of value.

TWILIGHT IS NOT BETTER THAN HARRY POTTER

III. Vampire novel

A.   Twilight Bastardizes the vampire genre

1.    Twilight vampires can hardly be considered vampires

a. Can be in the sun

b. Are awake during the day

c. Can survive on animal blood

d. Are not killed by garlic, crosses or silver bullets

e. Do not have fangs

f. Do have reflections

g. Don’t sleep in coffins

On a final note, 10% of Stephanie Meyer’s proceeds from the franchise go to the Mormon Church. I do not have anything against people who practice Mormonism but if you disagree with any of their political actions you should not give any money to this trash of a franchise. The most importantly, if you support gay marriage you shouldn’t support twilight.
